The Grammar School at Leeds:

Cricket Squad Logo

We were very excited that the Grammar School at Leeds chose to commission Ibex Illustrations again for a new, bespoke, illustration project. 

The challenge was to create a logo for the school's cricket squads.  The image had to be in sharp black and white silhouettes to allow for versatility of use on clothing and other items.  The image had to capture the movement and excitement of cricket whilst remaining a formal team logo.  

At the same time we wanted to give a nod to the school's own logo with the Yorshire Rose and the sun beams.  In keeping with the theme from the cricket shirts, "Born to Play...Forced to go to Lessons," the three books from the school logo have been replaced by cricket stumps. 

In addition to the use on the cricket squad shirts, the school acquired a licence for the use of the image for one of the school's young enterprise (LEAP) companies to sell merchandise bearing the logo.
